Centenary Celebrations

The 19th Bolton (Bolton School) Scout Group is celebrating its 100th birthday!

19th Bolton (Bolton School) Scout Group Centenary

Come and join in our celebrations from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 21st March 2015 at our Headquarters – Brookside, Ladybridge Lane, Bolton, BL1 5DE

Fun for all with activities such as:

  • Beaver / Cub / Scout / Explorer Events
  • Pioneering, Camp Cooking
  • Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Crafts
  • Photo albums, memorabilia and Scout names by decade all on display indoors
  • Refreshments available all day

 

Why not stay on and continue the celebrations into the evening?

7pm for 7.30pm evening buffet – £10 per ticket, bar available.
Chance to mingle and catch up as well as a raffle / auction to raise money for the Centenary Summer Camp to Western Canada.

Please also join us for the annual St. George’s Day Parade Service to be held in the Great Hall of the Boys’ Division on Sunday 26th April at 2pm – refreshments afterwards

Family Fun Day, 21st March

Family fun day from 10am to 4pm, with free events and activities for all ages. On display will be memorabilia, photos and lists of former scouts from the past 100 years. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Evening Buffet, 21st March

An evening buffet 7pm for 7.30pm. The displays will be still be on show during the evening. We are hoping to run a raffle / auction during the day and evening events to raise money for the summer camp to Canada.

St George’s Day, 26th April

The Group is hosting a St. George’s Day service in the Great Hall of the Boys’ Division. I would expect as many current members of the Group, Beavers /Cubs /Scouts /Explorers as possible to attend.
