As a culmination of the activities for our centenary of the 19th Bolton Scout Group a camp is being arranged on the western coast of Canada at Camp Barnard.
Long Camp 2015 – Camp Barnard – Sooke, Vancouver Island CANADA.
The dates of the camp are Friday 24th July 2015 to Sunday 9th August 2015, flying from Manchester with Air Transat.

Log Cabins we will stay in
The Camp is open to all members of the Group and will be a balance between Scout type activities and visits to local attractions within the area.
The cost of the camp will be funded in two ways:
Firstly, a standard charge to each participant of £750 which reflects most of the cost of the air fare.
Secondly, a fundraising effort to raise the shortfall of around £30,000. If we manage to raise more than this then we will be able to reduce the cost of the camp further.
The fundraising will be as diverse as possible:
Grants from the Scout Group, and other organisations,
Donations (preferably Gift Aided)
An ebay shop selling donated goods (which can also be Gift Aided).
Selling donated scrap metal.
A virtual balloon race
Auction / raffle and other activities on the Centenary day in March.
The flights and accommodation are now all booked, however if you have not booked yet and want to join us we may be able to arrange extra seats on the plane.
The balance of the fee will need to be paid by Wednesday 25th of March 2015, although this can be made in instalments prior to this time if more convenient.
Fundraising help can be given by donation of unwanted goods for sale, donations of scrap metal (copper / aluminium / lead) are the highest values, donations of prizes for the auction & raffle.
