We’ve been out and about exploring camp this morning.
Duty patrol will be doing a daily post every evening our time so everyone back in the UK can check out what we have been getting up to when you get up.
Good to see it is dry and warm enough for shorts. Have a super time and remember to take lots of photos . Lots of love to James H from Mum, Dad and Alex
Glad to see you are adventuring round the camp and feeding them well, they won’t want to come home! Looks like another exciting day ahead and can’t wait to see the blog and pictures as we have many visions of bathtub racing. Waiting for the blog has become the highlight of the day, keep blogging. Love to all (especially izzy xoxo).
Take care and have fun

Today I met a patrol from the 19th Bolton Scout Group at the Nanaimo Bathtub Races Market Day in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, Canada,(a smaller city north of their camp location).
The patrol was exploring the markets and generally having a good time. I am a District Scout Leader visiting from Queensland , Australia and was immediately drawn to the Group Shirt and scout scarf. I could not but be impressed with this fine group of boys. They are polite, well spoken and thoroughly engaging. We talked about their experience thus far and the differences between England, Australia and Canada. These boys chatted with my wife and our Canadian hosts happily and we eventually parted company feeling uplifted by the experience. I just wish I could remember their names, however the fake tattoos will give them away.
Fabulous scouts, 19th Bolton Scout Group can be proud of them.
All the best for the rest of the camp boys
